Pause is an app where you can chat about shows and movies at the exact moment you paused. No spoilers, no drama (well, the on-screen kind is fine). Think of it as a group chat that only unlocks when everyone's at the same scene.
Be cool. Seriously, that's the vibe. Here's what that means:
You're responsible for your account. Pick a strong password (please not "password123," we're begging you). If someone gets into your account because your password was "netflix," that's on you bestie.
Anything you post, like comments, replies, and GIFs, is yours. But by posting it on Pause, you're giving us permission to display it to other users (that's kind of how the app works).
Your DMs are end-to-end encrypted. That means we literally cannot read them even if we wanted to. Your private convos stay private. Period.
If you post something that violates these rules, we can take it down. If you keep doing it, we can suspend or delete your account. We'd rather everyone just be normal, but we will step in if we have to.
We're building this with love but things might glitch. We provide Pause "as is," which is legal speak for "we're doing our best but can't promise perfection." If the app goes down during your binge session, we're sorry. We're probably fixing it while also bingeing something ourselves.
If you see something that shouldn't be here, like spam, harassment, hate speech, or anything that makes you uncomfortable, report it. Every comment, profile, and DM conversation has a report button. We review every report and take action when needed. Don't be shy about it. You're helping keep Pause a good place.
If you violate these rules, especially repeatedly, we can suspend or permanently ban your account. If you get banned, you'll be logged out and won't be able to sign back in. We don't do this lightly, but we will do it to protect the community. If you think your ban was a mistake, reach out to us at support@justhitpause.app.
We might update these terms sometimes. If we make big changes, we'll let you know in the app. By continuing to use Pause after changes, you're agreeing to the new terms. Classic.
You can delete your account anytime from Settings. When you do, your profile, comments, and data get permanently wiped. No take-backs. Gone like a character in a season finale.
