Pause is an app where you can chat about shows and movies at the exact moment you paused. No spoilers, no drama (the on-screen kind is fine). Think of it as a group chat that unlocks when everyone's at the same scene.
Be cool. That's the vibe. Here's what that means:
You're responsible for your account. Use a strong password (not "password123"). If someone gets into your account because your password was "netflix," that's your responsibility.
Anything you post (comments, replies, GIFs) is yours. By posting on Pause, you give us permission to display and share it within the app so it works as intended.
Your DMs are private between you and the person you're chatting with. They're stored on our servers and protected so other users can't access them.
They're not end-to-end encrypted, which means they could be accessed by our infrastructure providers if required by law. Keep that in mind when sharing sensitive information.
If you post something that breaks these rules, we can remove it. Repeated violations may result in suspension or account removal.
We provide Pause "as is" and "as available." That means we can't guarantee the app will always be secure, error-free, or uninterrupted. If something breaks, we'll be working on fixing it.
If you see something that doesn't belong here, report it. Every comment, profile, and DM has a report option. We review all reports and take action when needed.
If you violate these rules, we may suspend or permanently ban your account. If you believe a ban was a mistake, contact us at support@justhitpause.app.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make major changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use of Pause means you accept the updated terms.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. When you do, your profile and data are permanently removed.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pause and its team aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the app.
In simple terms: if something goes wrong, we're not responsible for losses beyond what you paid to use Pause (which is currently $0).
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
The Pause app, including its design, branding, and features, is ours. Please don't copy, modify, or reuse it without permission.
If your use of Pause causes us legal issues, you agree to be responsible for any resulting claims or costs.
